Wonderful Weddings!

So, I was terrible at keeping up with WIWW (meaning I took zero photos this week). Instead, for this weeks Wednesday blog I came up with Wonderful Weddings! Who doesn't love a good wedding? Lord knows I do! All the sweetness, love, sentiments and fun that come along with them gets me ALL excited. Father daughter dances get my tears following EVERY TIME (and if you know me, you know I am not a pretty cryer...just ask Adam)! Since April, Adam and I have attend four beautiful wedding ceremonies and we are finished until September (YAY Jessica and Ryan, or as we call them: Post & Vega). We have attending weddings from country chic, beaches to country clubs! All very different, but all very FUN.

Mary Beth (Johnson) now Branyan, kicked off the wedding festivities 4/2/2011. I've known Mary Beth longer than I can even recall. Here's a fun fact, my parents and Mary Beth's were married on the same day, June 15, 1985 and then Mary Beth and I were born only 5 days apart. Adam and I had such a great time! Thank you Mary Beth and Johnathan for allowing us to be apart of your special day! PS- you were STUNNING!
All OC graduates :)

Maegen (Buff) (Russell) now Dennis, wedding was my first BEACH wedding and it was so much fun! 4/30/2011. And not to mention gorgeous. I never thought much of a beach wedding (simply because I never thought about it) but you can bet your bottom dollar I loved every second of her's. The sunset over the water was amazing! Buff I have never seen you happier! You were truly a glowing bride! Thanks Buff and Brad for a great time!
"Cute enough to make you look twice. Sweet enough, but not too nice.
A little crazy, but not too wild. The kind of girl that'll make you smile...that's a KD."

On June 11, 2011, Kelly and Daniel Wilkinson were wedded....wait for it....on the front campus of GCSU! Stunning and so special! At first I thought, 6 o'clock, outside, in June...uh-oh, but the weather was PERFECT!!!! That just goes to show, "What do I know?" haha. I truly had a blast at y'alls wedding. When Maegen (Buff) and I saw DJ Rocky at your reception we KNEW it was going to be a fun one :)  You are one of the sweetest people I know. Beautiful inside and out. PS- Kelly and Daniel yall should have TONS of luck in yalls marriage after that monsoon that came through as soon as yall got done with pictures! PSS- Kelly...you and Daniel make me want to puke with all the cutness that yall are :)

June 18, 2011, Jennifer Paul married Elliot Burt. Jennifer's mom and Adam's mom were college roommates and besties. Jennifer had a perfect weather day as well! They do say June is the "wedding month"...even though I have noticed that fall and winter weddings are becoming more and more common. Jennifer, you're another one that should have TONS of luck in your marriage due to the amounts of rain that fell from the sky after your photos! You were a beautiful bride and shining with happiness! Thanks for inviting us to be a part of your day :)

I really enjoy crafting, cooking and painting. Really just anything and everything that involves some creativity. Last year on my birthday I went to my very first painting class at Sips N Strokes. (FYI there are SEVERAL variations of the Sips N Strokes type classes in GA: Pints and Paints, The Tipsy Canvas, ARTini's, Masterpiece Mixers, Corkscrews and Canvas AND probably more that I do not know of) I have been 2 more times since (total of 3 times). I think the classes are relaxing, easy and fun! This is something that I especially love to do with girlfriends! So if you ever need a buddy to go with don't ever hesitate to call me ;). I've had a great experience every time. My favorite painting that I have done is my very first one, a peacock. It is just too cool. Right now none of the paintings (other than the peacock) are hanging anywhere...BUT rest assured that I DO have plans for them. I have already requested of Adam that when we move that I would like to have a room just for my crafts and creativy...my very own craft-room. AHHHH just thinking about it gets me excited!
This was NOT done at Sips N Strokes or any other painting class.
I did this in the luxury of my own apartment by myself  :)
I am not finished just yet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am NO makeup expert or artist but I do get lots of questions about my make up. What type of eyeliner I use is the second most popluar question I get asked. (First is, "What type of mascara do you use?"). Now, I am at that phase in my life where I wear my basics (foundation, blush and mascara) 99% of the time, but when I go full face (for occasions) eyeliner is a must. So, here it is Maybelline GEL eyeliner. This stuff (though may be intimidating to some) is AWESOME!!!! If your eyeliner doesn't stay on or smudges throughout the day AND YOU HATE THAT...then THIS is something for you to give a shot! And it lasts for F-O-R-E-V-E-R! I love it. .

OMG can you say YUMMY? I have little to say about GiGi's Cupcakes...they speak for themselves :)
Chocolate icing = HEAVEN!

HAPPY Fathers day! Cupcakes in a Jar

As Father's Day was approaching I was searching high and low for gift ideas. Dads (to me) are SO hard to buy for! My daddy and father-in-law both like red velvet cake. So, it came to me one day, I will make a batch of cupcakes to take to each. Simple right? As I was searching google for the "best red velvet" cupcake recipes I came across what is supposedly the HOTTEST thing in the cupcake world right now. CUPCAKES-IN-A-JAR. They have been featured on the Today Show with Hoda and Kathie Lee and in O Magazine. I also thought this was an excellent idea for traveling. Our route from Macon to OC is full of curvey roads and sharp turns.

This is such a fun and unique twist on the classic cupcakes. These would make great take home favors for any party. Baby showers, bridal, birthdays, dinner gatherings...etc.

-You make the cupcakes as the box instructs.
-Several websites/blogs that I looked at cooked large/oversized cupcakes and cute them in half. CAN YOU SAY HUGE MESS!!! So, what I did INSTEAD is not fill up my cupcake liner all the way (I accidently did on my 2nd batch) and they fit PERFECTLY in to the jars :) and made a lot less of a mess!!!
-Also, just as an FYI you can do this with any sized jar but I used 1/2 quart jam jars(I got a 12 pack from WalMart for $8). THEY WERE PERFECT!!!

I used a fork to guide my cupcakes down to he bottom of the jar
I have one of those fancy pastry icing bags but I love using a
gallon sized ziplock bag a million times more.
You can control the size of the "tip" much easier.
I like that fatty thick "gigi's icing" look.
And then just throw away the mess :)
I added some mini-chocolate chips just for fun!
I found these CUTE rootbeer drinks at
our local "Fresh Market" I couldn't pass
up the chance to get them for our dads!
The diet one is for my diabetic daddy :)
