Tuesday "catch up"

It is a rainy Tuesday here in Macon. I've spent my morning piddling around on the internet facebooking, wedding surfing, and uploading things to my work website...So far it's been a pretty lazy day. I am actual really thankful for these laid back days at work now because I know soon the speed will pick up and I will be stressing out with a crazy schedule at work and making sure my ducks are in a row as far as wedding things go.

I was SO WORN OUT! from this weekend! I was even draggggging yesterday at work. I could hardly keep my eyes open!

Adams family came down Saturday for WWE wrestling. Adam's mom, Mrs. Vickie, brought me a "goodie" bag from David's Bridal with coupons and magazines with wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses, that was very sweet of her. I am planning on going bridesmaid dress shopping this weekend with most of the girls. (And I am excited!) But back the wrestling...this event was THREE hours long! Adam made friends with the two 8yr old boys behind us and they filled us in on who were the good and bad guys. Adam was a little upset that the tickets he bought were not as good as he was lead to believe by the lady at Publix (where he bought the tickets). I had to keep reminding him that he did this for his Dad and his Dad, Mr.Doug, was having a blast! He loved it. He was yelling along with the crowd!!!

The next morning we had to get up early to head to Athens for the "Ultimate Bridal Show" There was some YUMMY food there :) I saw some lovely floral arrangements and talked to waaaaaaaaaay too many people all asking the same questions over and over and over again, "When is your wedding?" and "Where is your wedding?" and at this time Adam and I did not know where our wedding was going to be and I was feeling a little unprepared. Adam had to keep telling them "This just happened, I proposed 2 weeks ago." We found several photographers that we liked (and I emailed this morning) so some good things came out of the bridal show.

After the bridal show was over my parents took Adam and I out to Monroe to look at a possible wedding location. The place is called the McDaniel-Tichenor House. I looked at it online and there are not many pictures of the house. It was privatley owned and recently became open to the public so in a way the house is "new" (at least to the world of wedding venues) The house was not "open" but we walked the grounds anyways. And I feel in LOVE this is how Adam put it. "okay she's crying, we found our place" And he was right, I was crying...I could already see the layout of the wedding in my head. The few pictures that are on the website do NOT do the house justice. I think it is just wonderful! It has huge magnolia tree's in the front yard the frence around the house is covered in ivey. I think it is just gorgeous. The house used to be a governers mansion. And the whole street is lined with old southern style mansions. We are so excited about sharing this "gem" with our family and friends. And Adam only had one real request about our venue and this is what he told me "I do not want to get married where everyone else has." We know NO ONE that has been married here. So this venue is even more perfect for us as a couple.

After the venue excitement (which I booked yesterday morning eeeeekkkkk!!!!) We had dinner with both our parents. Our families haven't been together for several years and it was nice to have everyone back together again! I am just so happy with the way things are going right now. I know there will be bumps and kinks down the road as this shin-dig gets closer. Thats why I am enjoying the perfectness of it now :)
