THE PINKEST PARTY ON EARTH~~~Cherry Blossom

So, February is almost over and March is drawing closer and closer and March, here in Macon means Pink and Pink means CHERRY BLOSSOM! Words cannot describe HOW excited I am for the Cherry Blossom Festival. I have already started a list of things that I have to see and do from March 19-28. What are some of my MUST see MUST do things?

Well, they are hosting some "pre-festival" events such as then Think Pink Kickoff. Around here (Macon) almost every other car that you see has a hand painted Cherry Blossom on it. Since I am throwing myself into this years festivities I want a cherry blossom on my car. I mean....why not?!

Think Pink Kick-OffSaturday, February 27th from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at ACME on 1979 Riverside Dr.Car window blossom painting, $3 per blossom or two for $5m throwing myself into this year's festivities

Adam and I both are looking forward to this years "Diamond Ball" March 19th. We both love dressing up and dancing the night away!

The event that I am looking forward to the MOST would have to be the "Tunes and Balloons" event.

Macon State College Saturday, March 20th, gates open at 4 p.m., Balloons glow at dusk
Hot air balloon tether rides, children’s activities, live music, and a balloon glow
Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics

The same morning as "Tunes and Balloons" they are having a Pink Pancake Breakfast presented by the Macon-Bibb fire department....yum food?!? YES PLEASE! Adam and I will be there :)

Also that day they are having the Pet Fashion Show. PRECIOUS!!!! I will walk away wanting to take every puppy and kitty with me!

On Sunday they are having the Cherry Blossom Parade and every night of the Festival they have concerts in Central Park.

I am also getting my "dancing shoes" ready for Tuesday March 23rds nightly concert...a Jimmy Buffet cover band. Complete with PINK margaritas! Can you tell I am EXCITED!!!

I am only hitting the tip, tippity, tip of the iceburg! There are soooooooo many wonderful things. An adult fashion show, lawn mower races, bed races, sea lion shows, rides, International food fair, Environmental show, tour of homes, fire works, plays, paws for a cause, the street party and SO MUCH MORE!

I am mostly excited though because I get to experience all of this with Adam. The thing about us is that we really get along...I mean reallllly. We fall apart and argue and nit-pick at each other when we are apart, but get us together and we always have a blast. We truely are best friends. We both love trying new things (even though this is not new to him because he was living in Macon this time last year) and we both enjoy fairs and festivals. And we both love to have a good time. I am so ready to sit on my blanket with him eating our picnic (which I am assure will come from KFC :) ) listing to the tunes and watching the beautiful hot air balloons go up into the night.

Time to dig up some pink attire and dust off my dancing shoes :) It's almost time for the PINKEST PARTY ON EARTH!!!
